Marigold and Sun
A flower nobody waters on purpose, still standing at the end of August anyway. Dirt cracked dry around the roots. The particular bitterness of something that never once needed to be sweet to survive.
You've never needed much help to keep going either. Not because nobody's offered, but because the things that actually last are rarely the ones that needed constant attention to begin with. This isn't the high-maintenance flower in the arrangement. It's the one still standing after everything fussier already gave up.
No shade required. No babying. It was built for the exact conditions that wreck everything else.
Scent Notes
On their own, these notes don't mean much. Together, they mean Marigold and Sun.
Candle Ingredients
- An olive oil wax blend: vegan, sustainably sourced, renewable. It carries a trace of ultra-refined, food-grade paraffin, which is what gives a candle this size the throw and burn time you're paying for.
- Phthalate-free fragrance oils, sourced from fine fragrance houses.
- Cotton wicks, placed by hand and centered exactly, so the scent carries the way it's supposed to from the first light to the last.
- A matte glass vessel, made to be reused once the candle's finished. Not packaging you throw away.
- Hand-poured in small batches in New York.
Candle Care & Safety
Candle care
A little attention goes a long way with a LORUVE candle. Here is how to get the most out of every burn.
- Trim your wick to a quarter inch before each burn. It keeps the flame steady, the scent true, and the burn clean.
- On your first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar. This sets the memory of the candle and ensures an even burn every time after.
- Burn for no longer than four hours at a time. This protects the fragrance and keeps the vessel looking its best.
- Keep your candle away from drafts. Still air lets the scent fill the room the way it was designed to.
- When a quarter inch of wax remains, let it rest. The candle has done its work beautifully.
Storage
- Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Olive wax and fragrance oils are sensitive to heat and light, and proper storage keeps both at their best.
- Keep the lid on when your candle is not in use. It protects the fragrance and keeps the wax clean.
- If you are storing a candle for a while, wrap it in tissue or keep it in its original packaging. It arrived beautifully. It deserves to stay that way.
Safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Always burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Keep away from anything flammable.
Your vessel
The glass your candle arrived in was made to outlast the wax. Once it's finished, wash it with warm water and a little soap and it has a second life waiting. A small planter. A place for rings. A holder for whatever's on your desk that deserves to be seen. It was made with that in mind. It's worth keeping.
